These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of nycmilitaryboxing.com (the “Website”) and your interactions with the NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic, including ticket purchases, event registrations, sponsorship inquiries, promotions, and related services.

3. Event Information

 

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about the Event. Dates, times, venues, participating institutions, athletes, coaches, bouts, speakers, reception details, seating arrangements, and programming remain subject to change.

The appearance of a particular athlete, institution, coach, official, guest, or participant is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

Reasonable changes to the Event’s participants, schedule, bout card, programming, or supporting activities will not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund.

 

4. Ticket Purchases

 

Tickets may be sold directly through the Website or through an independent ticketing provider. Additional terms presented during checkout may apply to your purchase.

 

When purchasing tickets:

• You agree to provide accurate and complete information;

• You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the displayed amount;

• Your order is not final until you receive a confirmation;

• We may establish ticket limits or seating restrictions;

• We may cancel orders involving suspected fraud, unauthorized payment methods, pricing errors, or violations of purchase limits; and

• You are responsible for reviewing the ticket type, date, quantity, seating information, and order total before completing your purchase.

5. Ticket Pricing and Fees

 

Ticket prices will be displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

When we advertise or display a ticket price, the displayed total will include mandatory fees that are known and calculable at that time, as required by applicable law. Government taxes, shipping charges, and optional products or services may be displayed separately where legally permitted and will be disclosed before payment is completed.

Ticket prices may change based on availability, seating category, promotional periods, or other factors. A subsequent price reduction does not entitle a prior purchaser to a refund or price adjustment unless expressly stated.

 

6. Cancellations, Postponements, and Refunds

Unless otherwise stated during checkout, ticket sales are final and nonrefundable except when:

• The Event is canceled and not rescheduled;

• A refund is required by applicable law;

• The ticket purchased does not provide the admission represented; or

• We expressly authorize a refund in writing.

 

If the Event is canceled and not rescheduled, the original purchaser will be eligible for a refund of the ticket price and mandatory fees paid, subject to applicable law. Optional add-ons, delivery charges, or other amounts may be excluded only where legally permitted and clearly disclosed.

 

If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets may remain valid for the new date. We or the ticketing provider will communicate applicable options, which may include retaining the ticket, receiving a credit, or requesting a refund within a specified period.

Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method. The applicable ticketing provider may administer the timing and processing of refunds.

 

Travel, lodging, meals, transportation, parking, and other expenses incurred in connection with the Event are not reimbursable unless expressly agreed to in writing.

 

7. Force Majeure

 

We will not be responsible for delays, changes, postponements, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, public-health emergencies, government orders, labor disruptions, venue closures, transportation interruptions, civil unrest, security threats, acts of terrorism, utility failures, or other extraordinary events.

Any ticket-holder remedies following such an occurrence will be determined by applicable law and the refund terms communicated for the Event.

8. Tickets as Revocable Licenses

 

A ticket provides the holder with a limited, revocable license to enter the designated venue and attend the Event, subject to these Terms, venue policies, ticketing-provider terms, and applicable law.

 

Tickets obtained through fraud, unauthorized duplication, unlawful resale, or an invalid source may be canceled without admission.

We are not responsible for counterfeit, stolen, duplicated, or invalid tickets purchased from unauthorized third parties. Ticket transfers and resales must comply with applicable law and the terms of the original ticketing provider.

9. Admission and Security

​

All attendees are subject to venue rules and reasonable security procedures, which may include bag inspections, prohibited-item screening, identity verification, and ticket validation.

 

Admission may be refused or revoked when an attendee:

​

• Presents an invalid or duplicated ticket;

• Refuses to comply with lawful security procedures;

• Possesses a weapon or prohibited item;

• Is visibly intoxicated or impaired;

• Engages in threatening, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive, or unlawful conduct;

• Interferes with athletes, officials, staff, guests, or other attendees;

• Enters a restricted area without authorization; or

• Violates these Terms or venue policies.

 

An attendee removed or denied admission because of misconduct or a violation of applicable rules will not be entitled to a refund.

 

10. Attendee Conduct

 

The NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment.

Harassment, fighting outside sanctioned competition, threats, intimidation, discriminatory conduct, excessive intoxication, interference with Event operations, and damage to venue or Event property are prohibited.

Attendees are responsible for damage or loss they intentionally or negligently cause and may be referred to venue security or law enforcement when appropriate.

 

11. Health and Safety

 

Attendance at a live sporting event may involve crowds, loud noises, flashing or theatrical lighting, physical activity, and other conditions that may affect individuals with certain health or sensory concerns.

By attending, you voluntarily accept the ordinary risks associated with being present at a live sporting event. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct.

 

If you require an accommodation, please contact us or the venue sufficiently in advance of the Event. Accommodation requests will be addressed in accordance with applicable law and venue capabilities.

12. Photography, Video, and Livestreaming

 

The Event may be photographed, recorded, livestreamed, or otherwise documented by us, the venue, accredited media, participating organizations, and authorized production partners.

 

By entering an Event area, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs, video, audio recordings, livestreams, broadcasts, news coverage, archival materials, or promotional content. To the extent permitted by law, you authorize the use of your image and likeness in such Event-related materials without additional compensation.

 

Where a separate release or consent is legally required for a particular commercial use, we will seek that consent as required.

Professional photography, commercial filming, livestreaming, rebroadcasting, or recording of bouts may be prohibited without prior written authorization. Personal photography may be permitted subject to venue rules, provided it does not interfere with the Event or the experience of others.

 

13. Sponsorship and Business Inquiries

 

Submitting a sponsorship, media, vendor, or partnership inquiry does not create a contractual relationship, sponsorship designation, exclusivity right, or obligation on either party.

Sponsorship rights and benefits become binding only after an authorized representative of each party signs a separate written agreement and all required payments are received.

​

We may decline any proposed sponsorship or commercial relationship that is inconsistent with the Event’s mission, participating-institution requirements, venue rules, or applicable law.

 

14. Promotions and Giveaways

 

Contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, presales, and other promotions may be governed by separate official rules. If promotional rules conflict with these Terms, the official rules will control that promotion.

Unless otherwise stated, signing up for ticket information or Event updates does not guarantee ticket availability, seating, admission, or participation in a promotion.

 

15. User Submissions

 

If you submit photographs, testimonials, comments, graphics, stories, or other content to us, you represent that:

• You own the content or have permission to submit it;

• The content does not infringe another party’s rights;

• The content is accurate and lawful; and

• You have obtained any necessary permission from identifiable individuals appearing in it.

 

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute submitted content for Event-related communications, publicity, and promotion.

 

You retain ownership of your original content.

16. Intellectual Property

 

The Website and its content—including text, graphics, layouts, photographs, videos, logos, designs, event branding, and promotional materials—are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

Participation in, association with, or reference to the NYC Collegiate Military Boxing Classic does not constitute an endorsement of the VMI Alumni Association, the Event, its operator, its sponsors, or any commercial product or service by any participating Federal Service Academy, the United States Department of Defense, the United States Department of Homeland Security, or any related federal organization.

 

Views expressed by individual participants, speakers, sponsors, or attendees are their own and should not be interpreted as official positions of a participating institution or government agency.

 

18. Third-Party Websites and Services

 

The Website may link to independent ticketing platforms, payment processors, venue websites, participating institutions, sponsors, and social media services.

 

We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms and policies.

 

A link or reference does not necessarily constitute our endorsement of the third party or its products and services.
